Hi, I am Jackie Poulter and I make silver jewellery. After retiring I took a Jewellery Design and Silversmithing course in Hatton Garden and now work in my new workshop in the garden, where my ideas come to life.
I take inspiration from nature around me and when out take photos of natural objects that create shapes and have textures that interest me, then use these to develop ideas for pieces of jewellery.
It is the shape and texture that predominantly influences my designs. Everything I make is one of a kind, each new piece evolves and develops from the initial concept.
I am privileged to be part of Made in Ross, a cooperative of artists, and have a wonderful space to display and sell my work in the Market House Gallery in the centre of Ross on Wye. I also belong to the Made in Monmouthshire cooperative of artists. Another group of amazing individuals and with them I am part of many local craft fairs and art festivals.
